The Standard 11 Induction is a required course for all mine workers. Our industry-recognised Standard 11 induction aims to provide participants with the skills and knowledge to safely and competently undertake work in a mining environment.

How to Enrol in the Course?
STEP 1. BOOK ONLINE
Book online into one of our Standard 11 programs.
Surface Operations Only
Underground Operations Only
Surface and Underground Combined
STEP 2. ATTEND YOUR CLASS
Attend your booked session wearing appropriate clothing and closed-in footwear.
STEP 3. COMPLETE YOUR LOGBOOK (Underground Only)
When you have completed all classroom components, you will confirm your knowledge by completing a logbook during your first six month on-site.
Course Options
MyneSight offers three Standard 11 programs to provide participants with the opportunity to obtain the compentencies they require to perform their role in the mining environment.
SURFACE OPERATIONS ONLY
This course provides participants with the necessary skills and knowledge for Surface Operations and is a minimum for working in the Queensland mining environment.
Course Duration: 2 days
Pre-requisites: None
SURFACE AND UNDERGROUND COMBINED
This program provides participants with the opportunity to complete both Surface Operations and Underground Operations training in a single program.
Course Duration: 3 days
Pre-requisites: None
UNDERGROUND OPERATIONS ONLY
The Underground Operations Only course introduces participants to the necessary skills and knowledge to undertake underground mining inclusive of escaping from hazardous situations unaided.
Course Duration: 1 day
Pre-requisites: Surface Operations Statement of Attainment
WHO IS THIS COURSE DESIGNED FOR?
Any coal mine worker in Queensland who is new to the mining industry is welcome to enrol in our Standard 11 program.

WHAT DO I GET WHEN I FINISH THE COURSE?
On successful completion of this course, a Statement of Attainment for Surface Standard 11 will be issued.
Students who undertake Underground Standard 11 will receive a Statement of Completion and a site verification logbook to be completed within the context of the workplace before their Statement of Attainment will be issued for the underground unit.

- RIIERR205D Apply initial response first aid

- RIIERR203E Escape from hazardous situations unaided (underground requirement only)
